Standard translations refer to translations that do not require authentication of their conformity with an original document by a sworn translator. Most frequently, standard translations are done based on source documents which are not sealed and not designated for administrative circulation. Examples for this type of text: books, press articles, scientific papers, letters, civil-law contracts, device manuals. Such translations are delivered to clients primarily in an electronic form (a file). A standard page of standard translation contains 1,500 characters, including spaces, of a source text. We charge clients for each commenced half a standard page of standard translation.

Note! The system generates discounts for high volumes according to the following thresholds:
- 2% – text above 50 standard pages;
- 5% – text above 100 standard pages;
- 10% – text above 250 standard pages.

Sworn (certified) translations concern translations that require authentication of their conformity with an original document by a sworn translator. Such translations are generated with a sworn translator’s seal and signature. Official letters intended for administrative circulation of documents are subjected to sworn translations. Examples cover the following institutions: Social Insurance Institutions, Social Welfare Centres, city councils, Revenue Offices, insurance companies, courts, universities. Example documents intended for sworn translations: certificates of acquiring qualifications, school reports/certificates, birth certificates, certifications of residence address registration, documentation for tenders, court decisions, invoices, purchase-sales agreements, sick leave notes. Such translations are delivered to our clients in a paper form (a print-out), or simultaneously as a scan. A standard page of sworn translation contains 1,125 characters, including spaces, of a target text. We charge clients for each commenced standard page of sworn translation, while every document is treated as a separate translation.

Normal text is text not requiring specialist knowledge dfor its proofreading, e.g. leaflets, advertisement fold-outs, business offers, civil-law agreements, etc.

The additional fee for a specialist text 20% of the standard price. Translation of a text requiring professional knowledge from a given area of expertise is eligible for such an extra charge. Examples of specialist texts: scientific papers, manuscripts for publications intended for professional journals, manuals for diagnostic devices, tax analyses, economic balances, clinical studies, Summaries of Product Characteristics (SPC), Patient Information Leaflets (PIL), etc.

Please choose this option if your source text is handwritten or barely legible, e.g. old-fashioned, bleached or fuzzy typewriting. The extra charge for the translation service for this type of document is 25% as the work associated with searching for wording of the source text is much greater. It is often like a task for a detective when documents are completely or partially illegible. A hand-written document is translated by a person involved in a given sector, e.g. a doctor translates a patient’s medical records. However, each client should be aware of the fact that fragments which are illegible even for an expert familiar with professional terminology may be contained in the text. The comment “illegible text portion”, or in Polish “fragment nieczytelny”, would then appear in the translation.
